It’s March, and the new Ninja Season is slowly picking up steam. The first competitions have taken place, and the first winners have been crowned. But there are still plenty of highlights ahead for the community. So it’s high time for a new blog post!

Oh, guys… I could just apologize to you all over again. I keep telling myself I’ll write a post here, but just as often, life gets in the way. As an editor, “writing” after work is often the last thing I feel like doing 😉 But hey, here I am again. And once again, I’m making a firm resolution: there’ll be more content this year! If you have any requests, feel free to let me know (here or on Instagram). Of course, I’ll also be reporting on a competition or two. You know me and my love for recaps. Plus, the season has a lot to offer again.

After the show is before the show

The anniversary season of Ninja Warrior Germany wrapped up in December. And with it, the final season hosted by Frank Buschmann. That hasn’t stopped RTL from planning to film the new season in May 2026, though. After the show is before the show! So preparations are once again in full swing for the athletes as well. We’ll have to do without a few familiar faces this year, though, for a variety of reasons. Moritz Hans is taking a break to focus on his health; he’s been plagued by shoulder problems. The Casselly era also seems to be taking at least a hiatus. Unfortunately, there are also a few more baffling decisions from the network. For example, Jonas Elting is missing again. Just a reminder: He’s one of the strongest ninjas in Germany and won the first season of the Ninja Bundesliga. RTL, please wake up!!

We’ll still see many other top athletes on the show, though. After all, the community is growing, and the youngsters in particular are getting stronger and stronger. Jonas Moritz proved this more than anyone else last year. Of course, the experienced ninjas from recent years can’t be left out either. Among them are Jun Kim, Simi Brunner, Benni Grams, and powerhouse Rita Benker. Speaking of strong women: two-time Last Woman Standing Nicola Wulf is, of course, also part of the lineup 😉

As in previous years, the broadcast is expected to begin again in the fall. We certainly have a lot to look forward to! If you don’t want to wait, you can also be there live during the taping. Tickets are still available for some preliminary rounds taking place between May 18 and 25.

Ninja Bundesliga 2.0

For those who want to experience ninja sports outside of the show, there are numerous competitions to choose from every year. Since 2025, the Ninja Bundesliga has been part of the lineup. The second season kicked off in Bonn back in February. This year, the 3rd and 2nd divisions will take place on Saturdays, and the 1st division will always be held on Sundays. There will be a total of four competitions. Next up is Thannhausen on March 28 and 29. This will be followed by stops in Postbauer-Heng and Gummersbach.

Athletes were able to secure a starting spot package for the entire season even before the first competition. Since this sold out very quickly—especially for the 1st League—athletes now have to put their names on the waiting list. They can move up if Ninjas with starting spot packages cancel for a competition. Spectators have it easier: there are fresh spectator tickets available for every competition 😉

By the way: In Bonn, Jonas Moritz took the victory in the 1st League ahead of comeback kid Max Görner and Leo Albert. In the women’s division, Lotta Thies won ahead of Alina Tornau and Rebecca Diesmann. Overall, the race for the overall title is likely to be close. It remains exciting…

A packed competition calendar, full of action

In addition to the Bundesliga, many more competitions await the athletes. Last weekend, Ninja Skillz already hosted the next round of the Skillz Games. It’s not the only competition in the popular hall run by David Eilenstein and his team. Several other ninja halls in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are following suit. Highlights are sure to include the Woutl Cup by Ninja Doc Uwe Weitzer and events like the Tabalingo Ninja Warrior Day. There are also some exciting competitions specifically for kids and teens.

I’d like to highlight three competitions in particular here:

  1. Haarcore Cup: The second competition in the legendary barn owned by Franky, Görni, and Markus on April 25–26. It’s already sold out, but there’s a waiting list. Action and exciting courses are guaranteed here. And anyone active on Instagram knows that the guys are hard at work tinkering, screwing, and building.
  2. Infinity Cup 7.0: What would a Ninja season be without the Infinity Cup? On June 6, Stefan Angermeier is once again inviting everyone to his garden in Karlskron. It’s no surprise that this competition is popular within the community. Stefan and his family organize it every year with a lot of love. The atmosphere is great, and the sense of community is stronger than ever. When registration opens, it’s sure to be a race again. Being quick is key to securing a spot 😉

  3. Minga Warrior: My “home competition” at Königsplatz in Munich. I’m already hyped, and Stefan is involved here too. He’s organizing the Minga Warrior again this year on July 4 and 5. On Saturday, there will be a Skills Competition (in 4 slots of 100 starters each). The top 128 athletes will qualify for the head-to-head competition on Sunday. As part of the Munich Sports Festival and in front of a large crowd, the prize money will be up for grabs. The winner gets €750, second place €500, and third place €250. Registration opens on Friday, March 20 at 12 p.m. and is free! It’s shaping up to be one of the biggest competitions of the year, so be there. Info is available on the Munich Sports Festival website and on Instagram at Stefan Angermeier.

The european elite

Another highlight awaits the athletes in late October/early November. The Ninja European Championship will take place in Pilsen. Europe’s elite will face off there. An international showdown at the highest level.

You can find a detailed overview of all competitions on the Lets Ninja website. And hopefully we’ll catch up again very soon here on my Blog!
